What we do

The Paul Koster Memorial Scholarship Fund is devoted to helping people in our community achieve success in reaching their goals of furthering their education.  We do this by awarding scholarships to high school graduates in the Southampton Town school districts.  Applicants are asked to write an 2 to 3 paragraph essay expressing how they plan on furthering their education.  We believe that a college educations is only one option in furthering ones education after high school.  We look for individuals who have creativity, inspiration and motivation.  Any one interested in applying for one of our scholarships should talk to their high school guidance office.

Paul Koster began selling local clams to Hamptons restaurants from his truck and expanded to a thriving retail and catering business. He was friends with the local Baymen and bought the freshest shellfish from the very beginning. He also threw the best parties for friends and family and that’s how the catering business began.  He was also very involved in the community and in the various activities that his children participated in.

The Paul Koster Memorial Benefit is a NOT FOR PROFIT group working to helping young people within the community of Southampton, Long Island. We are dedicated to helping young people achieve success in reaching their goals. We do this by offering opportunities for volunteering, making new friends and connections in the business world, and giving financial aid. All board members are volunteers and accept no monetary reimbursement for the time they give to this organization.
